Director and editor, Jacob Schulsinger, editor of the critically acclaimed Play and Force Majeure, and co-editor of Nymphomaniac visits SPOT Film, where he will take us on journey from the Danish Filmschool to the Nordic film elite. Along with clips from his productions, Jacob gives us a unique insight of the collaboration between the editor and director during the editing phase.

Jacob Schulsinger (Editor)
Jacob Secher Schulsinger was born in Copenhagen in 1979 and he graduated as editor from The National Film School of Denmark in 2009. In 2013, Jacob co-edited Lars Von Trier’s Nymp()maniac besides editing Ruben Östlund’s latest film Force Majeure which won The Jury Prize in Un Certain Regard at Cannes Film Festival in 2014 and was furthermore nominated for a Golden Globe. More recently, he has edited the American feature film Take Me to The River by Matt Sobel which premiered at Sundance Film Festival in the beginning of 2015.

Frederik Sølberg (SPOT Film Curator)
Frederik Sølberg is a TV producer, director, musician as well as curator of SPOT Film. He has a Master’s Degree in Film Science and has previously worked as editorial director at Metronome Productions. In 2014 he directed CPH:DOX’s official trailer, and he is currently working on a documentary about the Danish artist Dinner as well as a music video for Choir Of Young Believers. Frederik is living in Berlin and works as a freelancer for various international as well as Danish production companies.
