[INT.] SPOT Festival will be hosting a seminar with international top-producer Che Pope (picture), who’s worked with American superstars like Kanye West, Jay-Z, Eminem, 50 Cent and Mary J Blige. Cutfather and Pitchshifters will also be on the panel.

Che Pope works as both a producer and as A&R at G.O.O.D Music, Kanye West’s label, which represents artists like John Legend, Big Sean, Pusha T and Yasiin Bay. Pope is a 2015 Grammy-Award nominee alongside Kanye West, for Best Rap Song. Pope & West were nominated for the track “Bound 2”.

Che Pope will be visiting SPOT Festival as a part of SPOT+, when singer/songwriter camp Aarhus Calling hosts a seminar on Friday May 1st, between 16 and 17 in the Dania conference hall. Aarhus Calling takes place from April 27th to May 2nd in Aarhus. Here, a number of lucky Danish writers and producers will be producing new material, to be critiqued by Che Pope, as well as Danish top-producers Cutfather and Pitchshifters.

– ‘Danish producers are really hot right now. We write and produce for artists in LA, London, Tokyo, Seoul, and we are helping create global hits. Which is why we need to help the new generation of young, talented writers and producers – share our experience and our network, if you will’, Cutfather explains. He has more than 20 years of experience with producing internationally.

At the SPOT+ seminar, attendees will have a unique chance to meet and hear some of the best producers relate, how they work, and what they have learned. Che Pope will provide good advice on how the American music market works, Cutfather and Pitchshifters will talk about their process, and publisher Robin Jenssen and A&R Executive at Universal Music Publishing UK/International Pelle Lidell will give their input on the working dynamic between songwriters and publishers at an international level.

The seminar has been arranged by DPA, Aarhus Calling, and SPOT Festival.
